Learning Spanish doesn’t have to be hard. There are many ways for a person to learn to speak Spanish without having a personal tutor. In this post, I will give you the top ten tips so you are able to learn Spanish language with confidence.

  • When working on your Spanish lesson, you do not have to be perfect especially if you’re totally new to the language. Ever remember riding your first bike? You fail. You try again. You fail. You finally succeed. This is the same when learning a new language.
  • Work on having an ear for the Spanish language. Remember that when learning a new language, the first and most important is oral communication.
  • Practice speaking the language. The only way you’ll get better is to keep practicing and the best way to practice is speaking the language as much as possible.
  • Commitment is very important. If you are not committed to learning a new language, there is no way you will get better.
  • Talk to yourself. If you are a bit shy speaking Spanish around other people at first, it’s okay to talk to yourself until you feel comfortable talking to other people.
  • Flashcards are very useful in studying so it’s also true when trying to study a new language.
  • Label everything in your daily life. For example, la pared (wall) or la puerta (door). Do this to as many items in your daily life as possible. It’ll force you to speaking the Spanish language
  • Be patient and learn everything. It’s impossible to learn a new language in a few hours.  It takes time and work. Although Spanish language software can help speed up this process by a lot.
  • Find a friend to practice your Spanish with. This could be a lot of fun especially if your friend is also new to Spanish.
  • Of course the most important tip you will ever get is to read everything out loud! You’ll get to hear if your pronunciation is correct or not.
